We strive to build a youth ministry program that mirrors all of God’s creation with students in grades 7th through 12th in all their diversity. We celebrate all the many gifts, talents, abilities, and desires of the youth in our programs.
Confirmation Program
In middle school or high school, students will study for two years the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament), New Testament, Martin Luther’s Small Catechism, and Faithful Living in Community with All to learn how to live into their baptismal promises. It is our hope that youth may learn how to say what they believe and who they are in the Body of Christ.
Our program is centered on Faith Formation rooted in Word (the holy Bible) and sacrament (Baptism and Holy Communion). We do this by focusing on living out the five Lutheran Baptismal promises:
To Live among God’s Faithful People
To Hear the Word of God and Share in the Lord’s Supper
To Proclaim the Good News of God in Christ Jesus through Word and Deed
To Serve All People, Following the Example of Jesus
To Strive for Justice and Peace in All the Earth
