Each October through December, St. Andrew selects an organization that provides holiday gifts for those who might otherwise go without at this time of year. Some past gifts went to people in the Allegheny County Jail, PERSAD Center, Allies for Health and Wellbeing, and Glade Run Lutheran Services. People purchase gifts from a wish list and deliver it to the church. Others help deliver the gifts. Last year we collected gifts for foster children served by Allegheny CYS.
Allegheny County’s Office of Children, Youth, and Families of children is in need of gifts to support those who come into the system late, or who weren’t sponsored. We are collecting some highly-requested items for children in the foster system to ensure that they receive some cheer this holiday season. Please see the following list and bring them, unwrapped, for donation.
