Coffee and Refreshment Hour: Every Sunday after Worship, members of our congregation host a coffee and refreshment hour so we can gather for fellowship.

Young Adults: Adults with Enthusiasm Serving our Mission Eternal, In Christ (AWESOME, INC) consists of individuals and couples from college age and up, who plan a monthly activity – Bible study, dinner, ice-skating, bowling – for fellowship and support.

Choir and Music: We have a talented group of members with a passion for music including choir, drumming circles and special music events and opportunities throughout the year.

Work Days: Are you handy or just willing to get dirty and do some cleaning? Member volunteers gather monthly to help maintain our church and its grounds.

Pray and Play:  Families, children, and all in the congregation who love them are invited to gather for fun, faith, and Bible-related activities throughout the area! Pray and Play is an opportunity for children and parents to get together beyond Sunday mornings, for children to learn Bible stories in a different way, and to build friendships among both parents and children!

Green Team: This team of volunteers works to reduce the environmental impact of St. Andrew through such actions as recycling, improving energy efficiency, purchasing more sustainable products, and providing educational programs. No experience is necessary to help out with this committee!

Word on Wednesday – On Wednesday of each week, everyone in the congregation is invited and encouraged to gather for a meal (which will be provided for you!) any time between 5:00 – 6:15 p.m. There will be an adult group activity from 6:30-7:30 p.m. For all other ages, we will break into age-appropriate groups at 6:00 p.m. and seek to have everyone ready for dismissal at 6:45 p.m.

St. Andrew’s 125th Anniversary! St. Andrew Lutheran Church was officially founded on October 12th, 1891, so this year is the congregation’s 125th anniversary! We at St. Andrew are planning to celebrate this milestone over the weekend of October 22nd – 23rd, 2016! On the evening of Saturday, October 22nd, there will be a dinner and anniversary program held in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church, down the block at 5401 Centre Ave., 15232. The celebration will continue with worship on Sunday, October 23rd, when Bishop Kurt Kusserow of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Synod will be here to speak.
