Coffee and Refreshment Hour: Every Sunday after Worship, members of our congregation host a coffee and refreshment hour so we can gather for fellowship.
Wednesday Evening Worship during Lent : 6 p.m. – Soup Supper – At 7 p.m. – follow the ramp from the parking lot and come in the office entrance. During Lent, the people of St. Andrew are invited to gather in the Sunday School room on the Wednesdays that follow Ash Wednesday for a simple soup supper at 6:00 p.m., followed by worship at 7:00 p.m. Worship will be different than previous Tuesday night services and Sunday mornings, following more closely a model of evening prayer though we will still celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Throughout the history of the church, the focus of Lent has been on preparation for Baptism and baptismal renewal, so the theme of these weeks will be “Continuing in the Covenant of Baptism.” Each of the weeks in Lent will focus on one of the promises central to our baptismal covenant:
To Live Among God’s Faithful People
To Hear the Word of God
and Share in the Lord’s Supper
To Proclaim the Good News of God in Christ
Through Word and Deed
To Serve All People,
Following the Example of Jesus
To Strive for Justice and Peace in All the Earth
Young Adults: Adults with Enthusiasm Serving our Mission Eternal, In Christ (AWESOME, INC) consists of individuals and couples from college age and up, who plan a monthly activity – Bible study, dinner, ice-skating, bowling – for fellowship and support.
Choir and Music: We have a talented group of members with a passion for music including choir, drumming circles and special music events and opportunities throughout the year.
Work Days: Are you handy or just willing to get dirty and do some cleaning? Member volunteers gather monthly to help maintain our church and its grounds.
Pray and Play: Families, children, and all in the congregation who love them are invited to gather for fun, faith, and Bible-related activities throughout the area! Pray and Play is an opportunity for children and parents to get together beyond Sunday mornings, for children to learn Bible stories in a different way, and to build friendships among both parents and children!
Green Team: This team of volunteers works to reduce the environmental impact of St. Andrew through such actions as recycling, improving energy efficiency, purchasing more sustainable products, and providing educational programs. No experience is necessary to help out with this committee!
